Default My Depressing Paradox

Ok so here is the deal.. I am planning on a PC build which is going to put me back about $2400, all in anticipation for Guild Wars 2. I am planning on selling my laptop (an Alienware M15x with an intel core i5 dual core and a mediocre radeon graphics card). The problem? I have almost enough for the build, just need to sell the laptop for the rest. BUT, I can't sell my laptop until I have a new computer because I need it for school. And the only family member who has decent credit just bought a car so they were denied trying to finance the purchase for me. I myself have no credit history so I was denied as well. Anyone have any suggestions? I was wondering if there's a way to get cash from student loans or something. I work and I could have the rest of the money in a few months, but the wait is absolutely killing me, and I would have the parts paid off within a month of the build D: Thanks for any input guys.

I custom built a pc that can run games like BF3 & modded Skyrim full whack with full AA for much cheaper than $2400 (£1532.88 atm). Apart from saving up, shop around, as far as I'm aware Alienware comps are very overpriced for what they are.
